In the coming weeks, we will delve deeper into the fascinating world of Magic FC, uncovering the untold stories and unveiling surprises that will leave you enchanted. It’s never easy putting a team of strangers together and expecting them to perform at peak level, and so it was no surprise that after our first 5 league matches we had won 2 and drawn 3 of our games. But the signs were there that the team was improving and that better performances would yield positive results.
We then went on a winning run of 5-consecutive games including beating top of the table UCT and ending their own impressive 7-game winning streak. Our squad of 20 players includes 6 school girls and so as much as things are better, we know we have a lot to learn and look forward to seeing our player’s development over the rest of the season.

Our ‘development’ team of youngsters have made a fantastic start to their debut season and have won all 5 of their games to date without conceding a goal. We have a total of 23 players registered for this team – 15 of them are school girls – incredible for our 1st season as a girls-only registered football club!
There is a great sense of fun and joy around this bunch at training and at matches, and it is inspiring to see the respect they have for their opponents and for the game too. From the 13-year old striker to the ‘experienced’ players at the back, this team’s dedication and commitment to improvement is nothing short of Magical!
Our program aims to empower young girls from underprivileged backgrounds by providing them with quality training, equipment, life skills, and mentorship. Your backing of our football development program will make a difference and provide marketing and branding opportunities. Your company logo will be featured on our website, promotional materials, and social media channels. Moreover, all sponsorship and donation payments are tax-deductible
Our Section 18A Charity is also 100% BEE compliant and registered to issue BEE points for corporate scorecards. Your support will contribute to a worthy cause and help provide the necessary equipment and resources needed to run the program, allowing more girls to have access to opportunities to succeed
Katherine’s impact on local football cannot be overstated. Her meticulous approach to her duties has helped to elevate the performance of our team, and her dedication to her work is an inspiration to us all. Despite her busy schedule, Katherine remains humble and approachable, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer advice to our players
We hope to empower our athletes by creating opportunities for them to pursue their football dreams. This includes scholarships and bursaries at both local and international tertiary institutions. We will also look at opportunities with local professional teams and exposure to the top international teams in Europe through our Global football network.
